ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

This role reports to Manager, International Recruitment and Marketing.

 

SUMMARY

The Strategic Enrollment Consultant is responsible for delivering an ambitious U.S. enrollment growth strategy, with accountability for achieving a threefold increase in student enrollment within a two-year timeframe. The successful candidate will transition digital interest into a robust enrollment pipeline, ensuring that KPU’s polytechnic value proposition resonates effectively with U.S. students and their families.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Market Research & Analysis

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive U.S. market intelligence strategy to inform institutional recruitment priorities and long-term growth planning.
  • Oversee ongoing analysis of U.S. student mobility to Canada, identifying shifts in demographics, program demand, and decision drivers to guide evidence-based strategy.
  • Direct the monitoring of U.S. secondary and post-secondary trends, translating insights into actionable opportunities for market expansion and program positioning.
  • Anticipate and evaluate systemic barriers impacting U.S. applicants (e.g., immigration processes, currency dynamics, credit transfer pathways), and champion cross functional
  • solutions that enhance student access and experience.
  • Deliver high-level, data-driven briefings to KPU leadership on market performance, competitive positioning, and regional growth opportunities, supporting informed decision-making at the executive level.

Digital Marketing & CRM Integration

  • Partner closely with the internal KPU Marketing team to co-develop and continuously refine digital advertising strategies, including channel selection, campaign execution, landing page optimization, and automated email workflows.
  • Take a data-driven approach to planning and budget allocation, ensuring marketing investments are strategically deployed to priority markets and aligned with institutional recruitment goals.
  • Maintain closed-loop tracking within the CRM system to measure campaign effectiveness, lead quality, and conversion outcomes across the full recruitment funnel.
  • Leverage real-time recruitment insights to optimize performance, inform decision-making, and clearly demonstrate return on investment (ROI) for all digital marketing initiatives.

Strategic Conversion & Lead Management

  • Execute a high-touch engagement strategy to convert prospective student leads into applicants and confirmed registrations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S. prospects, providing personalized guidance through KPU’s specific program offerings and the Canadian transition.
  • Manage the full "lead-to-student" lifecycle, ensuring a seamless transition from initial digital inquiry to day-one orientation.

Regional Expertise & Market Positioning

  • Act as the subject matter expert on the U.S. education system, including familiarity with high school counseling networks, standardized testing context, and financial aid expectations.
  • Translate KPU’s "West Coast Advantage" and polytechnic identity into messaging that resonates with U.S. students and their families.

Enrollment Growth & Performance Accountability

  • Own and deliver an ambitious U.S. enrollment growth strategy, with accountability for achieving a threefold increase in student enrollment within a two-year timeframe.
  • Identify and activate high-impact growth levers, including priority regions, partner networks, and scalable digital channels.
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership, highlighting risks, mitigation strategies, and opportunities to accelerate growth.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in cross cultural studies or Marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in international marketing, digital marketing, student recruitment, preferably in international education field
  • Strong knowledge about KPU’s program offering and its feature
  • Solid experience in utilizing the CRM system in marketing and student recruitment
  • Familiar with the U.S. secondary and post-secondary system
  • Deep knowledge about digital marketing, especially in the U.S. market

 

SALARY INFORMATION

Annual salary: $96,150 + 4% in lieu of vacation
