About the Department
Responsible for overseeing and documenting all inmate property in the Adult Detention Center. Includes storing and releasing all inmate personal property.
Position Duties
Documenting all inmate personal property and storing that information into OMS. Handling of Jail issue and keeping jail issued stored. Documenting all property releasing including DOC property. Coordinating and releasing inmate property to the public. Verifying that the property bin number that property is stored in is documented in OMS correctly. Verifying that the property bin in OMS is released when property is removed from property bin. Disposing of inmate DOC property and documenting in OMS. Will be responsible to get disposed DOC inmate clothing washed and stored. Organizing and storing cell phones until they are picked up for donation. Verifying all property release forms are filled out correctly.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE).
No felony/battery convictions
Strong interpersonal communications skills.
Must be able to maintain a professional composure during conflict and dealing with irrational subjects.
Must be able to navigate and work within applications of a personal computer.
Must be comfortable with handling standard office equipment along with audio communications (speaker and radio), and video control equipment.
Civilian Employees shall have her/his principal place of residence within the boundaries of Marion County within six months of employment.

Must be able to work independently under limited supervision
