    REPORTS TO: Lead Custodian. (Building principals may also direct the activities of custodians in special circumstances or if the Lead Custodian is not on site.)

     

    JOB GOALS: To assure that the district buildings and grounds are in the best possible condition, and to provide necessary services conducive to the efficient conduct of the education program and public functions. These services include but are not limited to cleaning, lighting, heating, snow removal, care of lawns and grounds, moving school furniture and general custodial care.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

     
    1.  Physically able to perform required responsibilities

    2.  Demonstrate desirable working relations, work habits and personal hygiene 

    3.  Willing to work overtime as required 

    4.  Demonstrate knowledge of proper usage of custodial products and equipment

     

     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

     
    1. Ability to read, reason and understand policies, procedures and related information and to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions 

    2. Physical ability to perform all necessary upper and lower body movements 

    3. Ability to talk, hear, see, smell, speak and correctly perceive.

    4. Ability to do simple calculations, divide, multiply, addition, counting and subtraction 

    5. Ability to use basic hand tools and equipment and abilities to

    6. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, to climb heights up to 30 feet on a ladder and to stand for a 1/2 hour
