Description
The DevOps Engineering Intern will support the team in building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, improving system monitoring and performance visibility, and assisting with infrastructure deployment and configuration. This role works closely with software developers to help integrate code into production environments and gain hands-on experience with modern CI/CD, containerization, and cloud technologies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
- Employ practices for monitoring system performance, alerting, and basic troubleshooting.
- Help update and maintain infrastructure deployment, provisioning, and configuration workflows.
- Work closely with developers to integrate code into production environments and support release processes.
- Contribute to documentation and runbooks for repeatable deployments and operational tasks.
Requirements
Currently pursuing, or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development/Engineering, or related field.
Experience or working knowledge of Java.
Basic understanding of:
Linux/Unix-based systems
Networking fundamentals (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP)
Git and version control concepts
Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Have
Exposure to Docker and containerization concepts
Fundamentals of Kubernetes
Familiarity with Helm or templated deployment tools
Understanding of microservices concepts (e.g., Spring Cloud / Eureka)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Personal projects demonstrating relevant technologies (GitHub portfolio strongly preferred)
