Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Join Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center, a 142-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility, as an Environmental Services Technician on our evening shift. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance, maintaining facility and medical equipment, and responding to maintenance requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer calls
• Perform general facility cleaning (rooms, corridors, offices, public areas)
• Maintain floor care: mopping, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet shampooing
• Clean stairwells, windows, dust high and low surfaces, and sanitize restrooms
• Clean floor mats and kitchen/pantry areas
• Mix chemical cleaners as directed
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks (TV issues, bed issues, minor floods, etc.)
• Sidewalk snow removal and salting
• Collaborate with interdepartmental staff to ensure residents’ needs are met
• Seek and implement improved methods and practices

Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Range: $21.00/Hour
• Full Time, 37.5 hours
• Shift: 3pm-11pm
• Location: Fairport, NY

Qualifications:

• Experience in facilities maintenance or skilled trades
• Valid driver's license
• Previous experience in floor cleaning is a plus
• Ability to lift, move equipment, and work in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Must meet all required safety, compliance, and training standards
