Jax Kar Wash is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Manager to oversee inventory control, purchasing, safety compliance, and distribution of parts and supplies across multiple car wash locations. This position is primarily based out of our Oak Park warehouse and is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly, safely, and in compliance with OSHA standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, safety-conscious, comfortable using inventory and procurement software (Precoro and VMS experience preferred), and able to manage inventory needs for multiple locations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for all car wash parts, chemicals, and supplies
- Conduct regular inventory counts at the Oak Park warehouse and at various Jax Kar Wash locations
- Use procurement and inventory management software (Precoro, VMS, or similar systems) to place purchase orders, track orders, and manage inventory records
- Ensure all locations are fully stocked to prevent downtime
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
- Coordinate delivery and transfer of parts and supplies between the warehouse and car wash locations
- Monitor inventory usage trends and anticipate future needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant warehouse environment
- Follow and enforce workplace safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of chemicals and equipment
- Assist with safety audits, inspections, and documentation as required
- Communicate with management regarding shortages, equipment needs, safety concerns, and cost controls
- Assist with additional warehouse or operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or purchasing
- Experience with inventory, procurement, or VMS software systems (Precoro preferred; training available)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe warehouse practices
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to travel locally to multiple car wash locations
- Ability to lift and move inventory as required
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive, car wash, maintenance, or facilities-related inventory
- Familiarity with mechanical parts, equipment, or chemicals
- Experience working with chemical safety, SDS documentation, and OSHA compliance
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve proactively
