Position Summary:
This individual serves as instrumental music faculty, fulfilling sectional duties for Lower, Middle and US School Band classes, supporting the band teachers and teaching woodwinds sectionals. This position will also direct the US Guitar Ensemble and direct the MS/US Rock Band.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide sectional instruction for woodwind students, including those in Grade 4 Exploring Woodwinds Class, Grade 5 Band, Middle School Beginning Band and as needed for other bands.
- Will teach the US Guitar Ensemble and direct the Rock Band.
- Collaborate with the band teachers and colleagues to develop and implement the curriculum, including repertoire selection.
- Support band students in school performances including but not limited to assembly performances, chapels, admissions, or advancement events.
- Provide extra help to instrumental music students.
- Regularly attend all department and band meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Performing Arts.
