Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors
- Assist in developing and carrying out individualized treatment plans
- Observe and document patient behaviors, interactions, and progress
- Administer medications as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
- Use behavior management techniques to promote a safe, therapeutic environment
Qualifications
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred
- At least one year of experience working in a mental health or behavioral health setting is required
- Strong understanding of crisis management and behavior intervention strategies
- Experience with medical documentation and following established medication protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times
