Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, profitability, and market share for AMVAC’s crop protection product portfolio. This role partners cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Regulatory, and Operations to position products effectively across key agricultural markets.

This position plays a critical role in translating technical product capabilities into clear value propositions for distributors, retailers, growers, and internal stakeholders. The Product Marketing Manager will lead go-to-market strategies, product lifecycle management, demand forecasting, and market intelligence efforts to support business objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES & EXPECTATIONS

Business and Results Leadership

  • Develop a multi-year Crop Plan and execute product marketing strategies aligned with volume, revenue and margin targets
  • Lead product lifecycle management including product launches, optimization, and phase-outs
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform decisions
  • Support forecasting, demand planning, and portfolio optimization
  • Define pricing and positioning strategies to maximize profitability and market share
  • Monitor product performance and adjust strategies based on data and results


 Customer and Market Focus

  • Translate technical product features into clear and compelling value propositions supported by market trends and product use patterns
  • Identify customer needs across growers, distributors, and channel partners and build customer purchase pattern trends and opportunities
  • Partner with Sales to ensure alignment on messaging and market approach
  • Develop tools and content that support customer engagement and sales effectiveness


 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, R&D, Regulatory, and Operations to support commercialization
  • Align product strategy with regulatory requirements and operational capabilities
  • Coordinate go-to-market execution across multiple internal stakeholders
  • Support training and communication for internal teams on product positioning
  • Facilitate alignment between business units to ensure consistent messaging


 Execution Excellence

  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans, campaigns, and product launches
  • Create marketing materials including product guides, presentations, and digital assets in collaboration with cross functional support
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all marketing communications
  • Track and report on marketing effectiveness and return on investment

  • Strong understanding of product marketing, branding, and go-to-market strategy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing CRM tools

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Agriculture, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 or more years of product marketing experience, preferably in agriculture, crop protection, or chemical industry
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and product launches
  • Knowledge of agricultural markets and distribution channels preferred
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, and Regulatory teams
  • Experience in business-to-business marketing environments
  • Familiarity with market research, forecasting, and data analysis
