We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support a 200-unit apartment community in Cape Coral, Florida. This role is responsible for maintaining the property’s overall condition, ensuring resident satisfaction, and performing a wide range of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
  • Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct routine inspections of units, buildings, and common areas
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents (turnovers/make-readies)
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and implement effective solutions
  • Maintain property grounds, including light landscaping and exterior upkeep
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests (may include on-call rotation)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience (apartment or residential preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Frequent walking, bending, climbing, and standing
  • Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and varying weather conditions
