Teachers Now is seeking dependable and adaptable individuals to support local schools throughout the Texas City area. This role offers the flexibility to choose your schedule while gaining meaningful experience in the classroom.
Substitute Teachers play an essential role in maintaining continuity for students by providing structure, following lesson plans, and supporting a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.

What You’ll Do
- Follow lesson plans and guide students through daily instruction
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and productive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and support engagement
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, or recess as needed
- Communicate effectively with school staff regarding classroom updates
For long-term assignments, additional responsibilities may include lesson planning and deeper classroom support.
What You Need
- Associate’s Degree or at least 60 college credit hours
- Minimum of 1 year of child care, tutoring, or related experience preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliability, flexibility, and professionalism
Schedule
Assignments are available Monday through Friday, with both full-day and half-day opportunities. Specific hours may vary depending on the school and grade level.
