Summary
Responsible for the directional and operational oversight of the Practice Support Managers within Revenue Cycle, providing leadership and direction ensuring efficient operations.

Job Duties

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Build and manage a high performing team, communicate organizational priorities, monitor and adjust work assignments, recommend and implement process changes that lead to successful revenue cycle outcomes
  • Accountable for team morale, coaching, recognition and retention. Integral in developing staff to improve performance.
  • Establish and implement goals and objectives for area(s) of responsibility.
  • Monitor performance on defined Key Performance Indicators and communicate to results
  • Actively engage in management and staff meetings with the team. Meets with direct reports to ensure business operations and communications with staff are occurring timely, accurately and in alignment with the Revenue Cycle Operating Model and expectations are aligned accordingly
  • Partner with leaders on broader fiscal matters, Identify and address issues impacting financial performance, share information and key updates.
  • Serve as the escalation point for difficult problems, complaints, etc..


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Health Administration or related field
  • 5 years experience in healthcare revenue cycle and
  • 3 years prior management experience
  • Proficient in revenue cycle functions (billing, follow-up, denials, cash maintenance, etc...)
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications
  • Experience of Revenue Cycle Systems ( i.e EPIC)
  • Strong execution skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree


Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
