Mission:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Operations Specialist ensures the seamless execution, tracking/reporting, and continuous improvement of all employee learning and technical training initiatives, including Loftin University and factory-based programs. This role drives operational excellence across training coordination, LMS administration, and workforce development analytics to strengthen organizational capability and performance.
Obsessions:
- Deliver flawless execution of all training logistics and scheduling, to include some content creation and facilitation.
- Help close skill gaps through structured, trackable development pathways.
- Maintain complete accuracy in LMS data, certifications, and reporting.
- Develop and optimize learning systems for automation and scalability.
- Provide actionable training analytics that inform leadership decisions.
- Follow the People/L&D Playbook to ensure operational excellence.
- Meet or exceed overall expectations and metrics.
Expectations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following expectations satisfactorily.
Daily
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including enrollments, user access, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of training participation, certifications, course completions, and technician Qual Card progress.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding training opportunities, schedules, and development pathways.
- While a cohort is in session, maintain documentation and participant progress tracking for the Loftin Power Academy program.
Weekly
- Produce technician progress reports against Technician Level Qual Cards across all markets and track the number of Rehlko factory-trained technicians against market requirements.
- Track attendance, certifications, Qual Card progress (Techs & People Managers) and training completion metrics within the LMS.
- Partner with operational leaders to align on upcoming training and workforce capability needs.
Monthly
- Administer and coordinate the company-wide Spark Sessions and Power Labs programs including scheduling, communications, facilitation support, and attendance tracking.
- In partnership with the Technical Training Manager, maintain and update the Loftin University training calendar, course registration processes, tuition billing/reimbursement, and curriculum documentation.
- Support managers in creating, capturing and maintaining employee Individual Development Plans (IDPs) within the HRIS.
- Reconcile training vendor invoices, Rehlko reimbursements, and maintain training budget tracking documentation.
- When a cohort is in session, monitor Loftin Power Academy participant progress and maintain program schedules.
Quarterly
- Plan and coordinate Rehlko factory technician training schedules in partnership with operational leaders and vendor partners.
- Plan and publish Loftin University quarterly training offerings.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through participation data, certification progress, and feedback.
- Review LMS workflows and recommend system improvements or automation opportunities.
- Provide workforce capability and training progress summaries to HR and operational leadership as needed.
- Review and update training-related People Playbooks and SOP documentation.
Ad Hoc
- Facilitate Spark Sessions, Power Labs, and Predictive Index workshops across teams as needed.
- Coordinate external vendor-led training programs and certification initiatives.
- Administer and coordinate the Loftin Power Academy program, including scheduling, participant tracking, and coordination with instructors and operational leaders.
- Support rollout of new learning initiatives, training technologies, and development programs.
- Assist in development of mentorship, career pathway, and structured development programs.
- Partner with HR and operational leaders to identify emerging workforce capability needs.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Success Metrics:
- Most Critical Outcome: 100% visibility and tracking of required training and certifications across the workforce, with completion at or above 95% established timelines.
- Additional Measurements:
- On-time scheduling, communication and execution of all planned training sessions.
- LMS data accuracy at or above 98%.
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
- 4–6+ years of experience in learning coordination, L&D administration, or training systems support.
- Demonstrated experience administering an LMS platform (UKG Learning or similar preferred).
- Experience coordinating technical or field-based training programs preferred.
- Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to deliver high quality work product.
- Must be highly organized and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be highly accountable self-starter.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office 360 and other Microsoft products/systems. Strong technical aptitude, including ability to learn new systems quickly and train/support team in adoption.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation, which includes a motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
