Dietetic Technician– Long Term Care

Philadelphia, PA

Caring Heart Rehab and Nursing is seeking a Dietetic Technician to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. The DTR works under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian to support nutrition care services and promote the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutrition screenings and assist with nutritional assessments

  • Support development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plans

  • Monitor and document resident progress and dietary needs

  • Provide nutrition education to residents and families

  • Collaborate with dietitians, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals

  • Assist with compliance of dietary services and food safety standards

  • Support nutrition documentation within the electronic medical record system

  • Participate in quality improvement and resident care planning

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Dietetic Technician program

  • Active Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

  • Experience in long-term care or healthcare nutrition preferred

  • Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and dietary guidelines

  • Experience with electronic health records or nutrition software preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
