Description

The Director of Business Transformation leads enterprise-wide initiatives to improve operational performance, strengthen cross-functional accountability, and institutionalize data-driven decision-making across CenCore Group.
This role partners with executive leadership, Finance, HR, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Compliance to identify performance gaps, redesign business processes, implement KPIs, and drive measurable improvement in efficiency, margin, and execution.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role operating at the intersection of strategy and execution.

Responsibilities: 

 Enterprise Process Optimization

  • Map and evaluate core business processes across:
    • Government contracting lifecycle (BD ? Proposal ? Award ? Execution ? Closeout)
    • Manufacturing operations
    • Back-office functions (HR, Finance, Recruiting, Accounting)
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, compliance risk points, and margin leakage.
  • Design and implement standardized, scalable process improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to redesign workflows.

KPI & Performance Infrastructure

  • Partner with the Chief of Staff to:
    • Define enterprise KPIs aligned with company strategy.
    • Establish departmental performance metrics.
    • Implement reporting dashboards and review cadence.
  • Build systems to ensure KPI accountability is embedded in quarterly reviews.
  • Ensure alignment between performance metrics and compensation decisions.

Transformation Program Leadership

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives such as:
    • Data flow optimization
    • Timekeeping compliance improvements
    • Proposal workflow redesign
    • Compliance documentation streamlining
  • Serve as Program Lead for enterprise transformation projects.
  • Establish milestone tracking and executive reporting.

Governance & Compliance Alignment

  • Ensure process improvements support compliance with:
    • FAR / DFARS
    • CMMC / cybersecurity requirements
    • Audit readiness standards
  • Work closely with Finance and Compliance to reduce audit risk exposure.
  • Institutionalize documentation standards for repeatability and defensibility.

Change Management & Cultural Adoption

  • Develop change management plans for new initiatives.
  • Facilitate executive and manager alignment sessions.
  • Drive adoption of new processes through:
    • Training materials
    • Performance tracking
    • Communication campaigns
  • Reinforce accountability culture across departments.

Executive Reporting & Decision Support

    • Prepare transformation status updates for executive leadership.
    • Develop executive-ready dashboards and narrative reports.
    • Provide data-backed recommendations for resource allocation.

Requirements

Required

  • 5–10+ years experience in:
    • Operations
    • Strategy
    • Consulting
    • Program management
    • Government contracting or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and financial literacy.
  • Experience implementing KPIs and performance management systems.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in GovCon environment.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (preferred but not required).
  • PMP certification a plus.
