Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Service field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Mental Health/Child Welfare.
- Experience with quality improvement, risk management, and record review required.
- Must be familiar with Medicaid regulations, state and federal guidelines, licensing regulations, accreditation process, and private insurance requirements.
- Computer skilled in Windows, Excel, Word, use of Electronic Medical Records systems, and internet.
- Travel to satellite locations will be required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to think independently and to problem solve; and work will all levels of staff.
- Nonjudgmental, supportive, and respectful of both staff and clients with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement PQI plan and procedures in alignment with the agency’s mission and strategic plan.
- Provide training as needed including QI orientation and serve as the agency expert and provide training on compliance (primarily related to client records and regulatory compliance but will include other areas of compliance as needed).
- Complete record, site, and credentialing reviews for early education and before and after care programs, to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Quarterly review of client records to ensure high quality clinical practice and compliance with licensing, accreditation, and other regulatory bodies, along with some targeted fraud prevention reviews.
- Assist the Director of Quality and Support with all Medicaid/Insurance, licensing, and accreditation reviews.
- Review and process client grievances in collaboration with the director of quality and support.
- Review client incident reports and document relevant findings related to risk, harm, and action taken by staff along with any recommendations.
- Complete investigations related to critical incidents, client grievances, potential fraud, or other investigations as needed in collaboration with the Director of Quality and Support. This will include record reviews, client/family and employee interview, review of camera, footage, etc. Coordinate with IIU or other external investigations to facilitate their investigation.
- Committee Participation
- Serve as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee, record meeting minutes, and chair the meetings in the Director of Quality and Supports absence.
- Serve as a member of the Safety Committee and record meeting minutes
- Serve on the Human Rights Committee.
- Participate in and/or Chair QI workgroups as needed
