Job Description
  • Determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, and determine project specifications by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers for scope clarification in order to meet and exceed expectations. Follow-up on contacts from clients. Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, and address client concerns in order to resolve their issues.
    • Understand UL file structure, terminology and systems needed for project handling such as: FLEX, ECM, Workbench, PCD, IFVS, Willow, Blue Box Publisher and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Learn new systems and tools as needed.
    • Coordinate administrative aspects of project management. Serve as the Project Handler of record on non-certification requests as assigned.
    • Communicate project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
    • Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
    • Manage key customer relationships and maintain special handling requirements as needed for each customer.
    • Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
    • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus one year directly related experience.
Basic knowledge of UL objectives and structure and the ability to apply knowledge of UL services, policies and procedures.
Basic computer and technological skills, including software such as MS Office programs.
