What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Engineer, Simulation Sr. Stf you will be responsible for integration and troubleshooting of SSS software products in hardware‑in‑the‑loop and man‑in‑the‑loop lab environments. Our team designs, develops, integrates, simulates, analyzes, deploys, and flight tests leading‑edge systems that enable warfighters to dominate globally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and integrate software for distributed, real‑time simulation systems.
- Perform integration and testing of SSS software in HIL and MIL environments.
- Apply simulation software engineering principles and reuse existing code bases.
- Support digital transformation initiatives through advanced software practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile DevSecOps processes.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
• Software Development Experience using C++
• Experience developing software on Linux Operating Systems.
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technical Field (STEM)
Desired skills
• Experience with F35 Simulation products to include VSim, JADE, and LIDS
• Experience with Real-time simulation software development & integration
• Experience developing software on Linux and Real-Time Operating Systems.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)/Object-Oriented Design (OOD) techniques.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, such as VersionOne and Jira
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket
• Experience with automated testing
• An extreme interest in anything airborne, such as fighter aircraft and airplanes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Active F-35 program access

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
