    Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

    Miller Elementary | RSU 40 � Midcoast Maine

    RSU 40 is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support students within our programs at Miller Elementary School.

    This role blends direct clinical services with program leadership, supporting students with significant behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs while helping ensure consistent, high-quality programming across classrooms.

    What You'll Do

    • Provide individual and group counseling to students with social-emotional and behavioral needs
    • Support development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and therapeutic strategies
    • Conduct behavioral and social-emotional assessments
    • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
    • Collaborate with teachers, ed techs, and related service providers to support student success
    • Coach staff on behavior strategies, regulation supports, and trauma-informed practices
    • Partner with families and outside providers to ensure coordinated care
    • Support consistency and alignment across LEAD and Bridge program classrooms
    • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning

    What We're Looking For

    • Maine Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Experience working with children with behavioral, developmental, and/or mental health needs
    • Strong knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Maine Unified Special Education Regulations
    • Experience with FBAs, BIPs, and crisis response
    • Ability to collaborate, lead, and support teams in a dynamic environment
    • Commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and trauma-informed practices
