    Position Overview

    Plainfield High School is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to lead our growing Broadcasting program. This is an opportunity to build on a strong foundation and take a high-quality program to the next level.

    The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff and students to highlight Red Pride while developing meaningful connections within the broader Plainfield community.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in broadcasting and media production
    • Develop students' ability to tell compelling, authentic stories through digital media
    • Lead the production of weekly announcements and other school-based media content
    • Support live event coverage and streaming opportunities
    • Build and grow the program through student recruitment and community partnerships
    • Collaborate with staff to highlight learning and experiences across the building
    • Create real-world learning experiences aligned to industry practices

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Valid Indiana teaching license in Broadcasting, Communications, or related field, or willingness to obtain a Workplace Specialist license
    • Industry experience in broadcasting, media production, or related field strongly preferred
    • Proven ability or strong interest in building and growing a student-centered program
    • Strong relationship builder with students, staff, and community partners
    • Passion for storytelling, innovation, and student engagement
