Rocky Mountain Classical Academy
The Early Education Lead Teacher (Infants) plans and provides high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction for infants in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role supports infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive development through attentive caregiving and intentional teaching practices. The Lead Teacher maintains strong communication with families, collaborates with colleagues, and ensures alignment with early childhood standards and licensing requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time, non-exempt
- Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 4:15 PM
- Start date: July 20, 2026
- Salary based on experience and qualifications

- Lead Teacher qualified under Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) guidelines
- Knowledge of infant development and early childhood best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
Preferred
- Infant Supervisor qualification
- Experience working with infants or in an early childhood setting
- Familiarity with classroom technology and Google Workspace
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, responsive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for infants
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Observe, document, and assess children’s growth, behavior, and developmental progress
- Maintain accurate daily records (feeding, sleeping, diapering, etc.)
- Support infants’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding their child’s development and daily activities
- Supervise and support assistant teachers or aides
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to ensure program consistency and quality
- Follow all safety, health, and licensing regulations; report concerns promptly
- Prepare classroom materials and participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
- Assist with school events, transitions, and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the early education program.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work in classroom and playground environments with varying noise levels

- Regular planning, observing, communicating, and coordinating
