Reports to: Warehouse Manager

 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for executing daily warehouse operations within an assigned vertical—Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Business-to-Business (B2B), or Southern Hobby Distribution (SHD). This role leads frontline associates to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfillment while maintaining operational discipline and adherence to standard processes.

 

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on managing people, driving daily output, and ensuring consistent execution on the warehouse floor.

 

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations Execution

  • Own daily execution and performance results for the assigned vertical
  • Responsible for allocating labor and adjusting staffing within the assigned area based on daily priorities
  • Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time
  • Manage workflow across assigned functions (picking, packing, shipping, and/or receiving)
  • Supports a multi-channel environment and may be reassigned based on daily operational priorities
  • Adjust staffing and priorities in real time based on volume and service level needs

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse associates on the floor
  • Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, and attendance
  • Provide real-time feedback and address performance issues promptly
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires

Productivity & Quality Management

  • Monitor daily KPIs, including productivity rates, order accuracy, and on-time shipment
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards across all processes
  • Identify inefficiencies and escalate or resolve operational issues quickly
  • Maintain organization and workflow efficiency within the assigned area

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate daily priorities, targets, and updates to team members
  • Partner closely with other supervisors to ensure smooth handoffs between functions
  • Escalate risks, delays, or system issues to the Tactical Warehouse Manager

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards and ensure a clean, organized work environment
  • Promote safe working behaviors and adherence to company policies

 

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of warehouse or distribution experience with prior lead or supervisory responsibility
  • Experience in high-volume fulfillment (D2C, B2B, or distribution environments preferred)
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS) and inventory processes
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, physically active environment
