Receptionist
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, families, and vendors in a long-term care setting. This role provides administrative and clerical support while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and secure environment. The Receptionist plays a key role in communication, safety, and visitor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and route incoming phone calls efficiently and accurately
- Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and support security protocols
- Provide general information regarding the facility while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, mail distribution, and data entry
- Communicate promptly with nursing, administration, and other departments as needed
- Monitor lobby and common areas to ensure a safe and pleasant environment
- Maintain resident and employee confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations per facility procedures
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a positive and compassionate attitude
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of basic office equipment and computer applications
- Familiarity with healthcare privacy and confidentiality standards
