The Training Lab Operator supports the development, assembly, and maintenance of live fire training equipment used for contractor and distributor education. This role will lead the assembly and deployment of portable live fire training carts for Bosch IDS systems and ensure all technical training equipment in the Norman training center operates safely and performs to its intended technical capability.

The position plays an important role in supporting hands-on training programs by maintaining reliable training assets and enabling consistent demonstration of Bosch Home Comfort products.

Key Responsibilities

Live Fire Cart Program

  • Assemble and commission portable live fire training carts for Bosch IDS Light, Premium, and Ultra systems.
  • Support fabrication, installation, and testing of training cart components including electrical, refrigeration, and structural elements.
  • Coordinate with engineering and training teams to ensure carts meet product demonstration and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and stage completed carts for shipment to trainers, distributors, and regional partners.
  • Maintain documentation and quality checks for all carts produced.

Training Equipment Operations

  • Maintain all live fire training systems within the Norman training center including heat pumps, air handlers, furnaces, and supporting mechanical systems.
  • Ensure training equipment operates correctly and demonstrates products according to technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs to maintain training readiness.
  • Support installation of new demonstration equipment and upgrades to existing training assets.
  • Maintain safe operation of electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical training systems.

Training Center Support

  • Assist trainers with equipment setup and technical troubleshooting during training sessions.
  • Maintain an organized training lab environment and manage inventory of parts and equipment used for demonstrations.
  • Work with product engineering and training teams to implement improvements to training systems.
  • Support the ongoing development of hands-on training infrastructure at the Norman training center.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, mechanical systems, or electrical systems
  • Experience working with HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, or mechanical training systems
  • Mechanically inclined with a curiosity for how equipment and systems function

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to HVAC equipment and electrical controls.
  • Ability to assemble mechanical and electrical systems safely and accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a technical lab or workshop environment.
