Job Description

The student supervisor assists in the development, implementation, and assessment of the ODA Peer Mentoring Program. This role ensures smooth operations, fosters collaboration across campus, supports peer mentors, and helps create an inclusive community where ODA enrolled students can thrive academically and socially.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Program Development & Management  
    • Assists in all aspects of the mentoring program, including recruitment, selection, training, and matching of mentors and mentees.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of program guidelines, training materials, and community standards.  
    • Collaborate with campus partners (Office of Disability and Access, Institute for Student Success, IIE, Residence Life, Wellness etc.) to align program goals with institutional priorities. 
  • Mentor Support & Supervision 
    • Assist in training and ongoing professional development for peer mentors. 
    • Meet regularly with mentors to review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and offer guidance. 
    • Facilitate communication between mentors, mentees, and staff. 
  • Student Engagement & Events 
    • Assist in planning and overseeing community-building activities, workshops, and study sessions. 
    • Support mentors in designing and facilitating events tailored to student needs. 
    • Ensure programming fosters belonging, self-advocacy, and accessibility awareness. 
  • Assessment & Reporting 
    • Collect and analyze feedback from mentors, mentees, and stakeholders. 
    • Track participation, engagement, and program outcomes. 
    • Provide reports and recommendations for program improvement to leadership.
