The role will ensure the successful adoption of new structures, processes, systems, and behaviors by embedding structured change methodologies, building leadership alignment, and supporting staff through transition in a complex global environment.

This role will take forward change management work that has already been initiated for the project and completed for three of the eight functions in scope. Change management activities for the Finance, Awards, and Supply Chain functions have been fully implemented; Resource Mobilization, Strategy, and People & Culture are in progress; and Digital and Legal will be in the early stages by the time this role starts. This role will also support the development of project deliverables, such as functional RACIs and training.

This role will report to the Project Lead and have a dotted-line relationship with the Senior Director of Transformation.

  • Identify risks related to change adoption and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Adapt and deploy change readiness assessments and Transition to BAU checklists to ensure functional readiness and align functional leaders ahead of implementation. Carry out all necessary post-Go-Live activities and complete any transition to BAU activities, ensuring functional engagement and sign-off

Leadership alignment and comms

  • Coach Country Directors, Regional Directors, HRBPs, and functional leads on leading through change and ensure they have the necessary tools to support their staff
  • Facilitate alignment workshops where needed to ensure clarity of vision, case for change, and success measures
  • Develop and/or adapt communications plan and framework, including key messaging, timelines, templates, and feedback forums.

Functional strengthening

  • Partner with Project Lead and functional teams on creation of project deliverables, such as RACIs, escalation protocols, etc., for Digital and Legal functions, to clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Adapt and/or create and deliver training for Country Office, regional, and global staff on project deliverables to ensure Country Office and functional team adoption and buy-in
  • Support the broader Functional Excellence team on the delivery of dotted-line manager trainings to strengthen connections across functional layers
  • Establish and support a network of Functional Champions

Adoption and sustainability

  • Create and/or adapt existing tools to measure project adoption and effectiveness in improving operational excellence (e.g., staff surveys)
  • Monitor and report out on change progress and risks/issues with implementation
