ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Streamline the flow of restaurant orders, helping ensure that dishes go out to tables on time and at the expected standard.
- Stand at the pass during service and act as the middle person between service staff and cooks.
- Relay important information between kitchen staff and waitstaff (e.g. when a customer has a special request).
- Ensure the efficient flow of orders from waitstaff to the kitchen.
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
- Assist with the final preparation of dishes.
- Check dishes for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to delivery.
- Deliver orders as needed to ensure efficient service.
- Tactfully and efficiently handle customer complaints.
- Assist with cleaning to ensure work area meets quality and sanitation standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
