By joining the Hamilton Health Sciences Research & Innovation team, you will play a key role in advancing how research is planned, supported, and delivered across the organization - translating priorities into action, strengthening operational and planning foundations, and contributing to a research enterprise that drives meaningful impact for patients and the health system.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Research Strategy and Operations, the Manager, Strategic Operations plays a central role in advancing Research & Innovation priorities across Hamilton Health Sciences. Working at the intersection of strategy, operations, and planning, this role supports the translation of priorities into structured plans, clear metrics, and effective execution across a large and complex academic health system.
In this role you will:
- Lead and coordinate initiatives that advance Research & Innovation priorities, translating strategy into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to operational planning by developing insights, forecasts, and performance metrics that inform decision-making.
- Synthesize complex information into clear, decision-ready materials for senior leadership.
- Coordinate research operations and supporting infrastructure to enable effective program delivery and alignment with institutional priorities.
- Shape the prioritization of initiatives and develop tools, processes, and approaches that enable coordinated and effective delivery.
- Plan and deliver key initiatives that enable collaboration and engagement across Research & Innovation.

- Master’s degree preferred in health administration, business, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in strategy, operations, or program management within a research, healthcare, innovation, or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and translating strategic priorities into actionable plans and outcomes.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with experience using data, forecasting, and financial analysis to inform planning and operational decisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and move work forward in complex settings.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders.
