  • Coordinate co-manufacturer relationships to ensure capacity, quality, service, and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Support new product launches, production trials, and startup activities at co-manufacturing locations.
  • Monitor co-manufacturer performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost savings.

Supplier Compliance, SAP & TraceGains

  • Serve as the Supply Chain point of contact for supplier and manufacturer TraceGains documentation collection, uploads, and approval coordination.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding activities, including vendor setup, insurance certificates, quality documentation, audits, and approvals.
  • Support supplier qualification, risk assessments, and documentation management within SAP and TraceGains systems.

Training, Mentorship & Team Development

  • Train, mentor, and support newly hired buyers and procurement personnel.
  • Develop training materials, procurement SOPs, and standardized work instructions.
  • Provide guidance and procurement leadership to plant-level buyers to ensure consistent purchasing practices across all facilities.

MRO & Indirect Procurement

  • Manage sourcing and procurement activities for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) materials and indirect spend categories.
  • Oversee supplier relationships for utilities, facility services, construction support, IT equipment/software, and operational support services.
  • Ensure utility and service contracts are proactively reviewed and renewed prior to expiration.
  • Support vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs and identify opportunities for inventory and cost optimization.

Supplier Performance & Cost Savings

  • Develop and manage supplier scorecards and KPI tracking systems for quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost, and service performance.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and corrective action initiatives where needed.
  • Identify and execute cost savings opportunities through supplier negotiations, process improvements, alternate sourcing, and inventory optimization.
