Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

 

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and supervising research and administrative activities of clinical research projects, involving pharmaceutical research, conducted by the principal investigator.  Administer rating scales to study participants.  Participate in activities involved in the collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical research data.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates all aspects involved in the performance of clinical studies
  • Participates in the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of subjects to participate in studies
  • Serve as a rater for scales required as part of various clinical research trials
  • Participate in research infusions and dispensation of investigational products under the guidance and supervision of the designated pharmacist and Principal Investigator (PI)
  • Serve as an initial reviewer for labs, electrocardiograms, and physical / neurological exams to identify, analyze and highlight abnormalities, liaison with subject’s primary care physicians for follow-up and present all findings to the PI for review and signature.
  • Oversees and reviews the work assigned to the Research Assistant as needed
  • Maintains all relevant documentation
  • Ensures that all regulatory documents are filled out accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide phlebotomy services and help to prepare and ship out labs per protocol

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • BS degree from a recognized university, preferred

 

Experience:

  • Minimum two years of clinical research or related experience

 

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator preferred
