Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records as required by the applicable specifications
- Perform semi-complex inspection of components using a wide variety of measuring instruments such as micrometer, ID/OD mics, thread gauges, protractor, height gauge, optical comparator and profilometer to determine acceptance or rejection of parts and/or parts surface roughness/finish
- Perform first article inspections to customer drawings and specifications
- Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimension and tolerances
- Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer’s requirements and military standards
- Perform inspections to applicable specifications within the assembly department
- Assist customer/government source inspectors as necessary
- Perform complete inspections in accordance with the applicable specifications, standards and other contractual documents
- Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in accordance with approved procedures
- Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection of parts
- Assist with the investigation of customer returns
- Able to pass a visual acuity test
- A general understanding of customer specifications or ability to lean
- AS9102 experience beneficial
- Able to read blueprints
