Job Description

 

What You’ll Be Doing

The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for greeting/check-in in patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and reception support for the clinic.

 The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Check patients in and obtain patient information utilizing the web-based on-site
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up with appointments as needed
  • Collect and post proper patient payment, including print appropriate receipts
  • Perform insurance eligibility checks prior to patient appointments
  • Answer all phone calls timely, and in a professional and courteous manner
  • Route calls and messages appropriately
  • Effectively communicate with all staff and providers amongst all clinics
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in the medical field, preferred
  • Excellent PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced clinic setting and maintain a passion to help those in need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Work independently, requiring minimal or no oversight and guidance
