Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive ID care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities:
• Provide infectious disease consults in long-term care settings
• Assess and manage infections including HIV, Hep B and C, pneumonia, UTIs, sepsis risk, wound infections, and multidrug-resistant organisms
• Order and interpret cultures, blood work, and imaging studies
• Prescribe and manage antimicrobial therapy including IV and oral antibiotics • Collaborate with infectious disease physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor infection control practices and support antimicrobial stewardship programs
• Educate staff and families on infection prevention and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
• Active and unrestricted NP license • DEA license required • CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
• Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants) • Graduation from an accredited NP program
• Preferred: Experience in ID (training available if not) • Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
