Job Description

If so, we want to hear from you!  Specialist, Laboratory Coordination, is instrumental in managing compound and sample inventory at QPS’ Bioanalytical and DMPK departments. Laboratory Coordination requires comfort with computer systems and databases, attention to detail, professionalism, excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, and an ability to prioritize. Position will include work with both chemical and biologically hazardous materials and encompass multiple QPS sites, all within a ten-mile radius in Newark, DE. Ability to comply with safety and standard operating procedures is required.

The Job

  • Support compound and sample coordination activities, including procurement, regulated receipt and import, and inventory management, in compliance with QPS standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Assist with the transfer of compounds and samples, including returns, disposal, and distribution of materials; coordinate and process both domestic and international shipments.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date compound and sample records and databases.


Work Location

  • This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based and will require frequent travel between QPS DE sites.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with demonstrated experience supporting logistics, inventory, or sample/material coordination in a regulated or controlled environment. 
  • Experience maintaining accurate, organized records and databases, with a strong understanding of secure information management practices. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate activities and follow through on tasks. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. 
  • Proficiency with or ability to learn database systems (e.g., LIMS). 
  • Valid driver's license

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical, scientific, or related discipline. 
  • Experience with regulated receiving, shipping (including international), or inventory management of laboratory materials. 
  • Familiarity with compound and sample handling practices in a laboratory setting.
