Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Market Manager - Process Industries to join our dynamic
team.The Product Market Manager will own the end-to-end portfolio strategy, from customer and market insights through product road mapping and new product launches, ensuring alignment with Strategic Growth Initiatives. Working closely with Customer & Market Insights, Sales and Global Engineering, the role ensures consistency with priority market sector go-to-market plans and core technologies development.
This global role is focused on driving profitable, sustainable growth by delivering differentiated value while ensuring global pricing discipline across direct and indirect sales channels. It will inspire Product Managers to act as business owners of their products, driving commercial and strategic direction with an entrepreneurial mindset. By embedding the four strategic pillars of Product Management Excellence: Voice of Customer & Sector Knowledge, Commercial Readiness & NPI Acceleration, Operational Efficiency, and Cohesive Brand Development & Road Mapping, the Product Market Manager ensures the team builds confidence, capability, and vision to accelerate innovation and deliver differentiated value. Critically, this role carries a strong sales orientation, creating compelling reasons to buy through differentiated solutions, driving value-based product positioning, and maintaining cost discipline. It will lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure Sales readiness for NPI and drive early market penetration
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
•Shape a bold portfolio vision that anticipates customer needs and capitalises on emerging market opportunities, setting the foundation for long-term success.
•Own and deliver a compelling five-year portfolio roadmap, integrating pricing strategies and competitive positioning to drive profitable, sustainable growth.
•Unlock adjacent growth opportunities beyond the current horizon—exploring services, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions to expand market reach.
•Champion customer insight and market intelligence as the cornerstone of brand evolution, ensuring every product decision reinforces the brand’s strategic trajectory and future vision.
•Inspire, empower and hold accountable a high-performing Product Management team to act as entrepreneurial brand business owners, combining sharp commercial acumen with a collaborative mindset to be the trusted bridge between Engineering and Sales, delivering leading product market strategies that increase customer value, outpace competitors and drive accelerated growth.
•Streamline and optimise product management processes to maximise agility, efficiency, and impact.
•Accelerate NPI success by embedding early-stage commercial readiness, driving rapid market penetration and profitable growth through differentiated solutions and disciplined pricing.
•Balance innovation with resilience, ensuring the team delivers breakthrough products, protects existing revenue streams, and prepares for future growth—reinforcing a proactive, customer-centric approach underpinned by operational excellence.
oMarket & Customer Engagement (≈ 1/3 of time)
Spend time with customers to understand their needs and pain points.
Monitor current market trends and anticipate future opportunities.
Identify strategic growth areas and feed insights into portfolio planning.
oNew Product Introduction (NPI) Support (≈ 1/3 of time)
Actively support ongoing NPI projects to ensure timely delivery and market fit.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and maintain momentum.
Drive innovation aligned with our “Playing to Win” strategy.
oExisting Product & Operational Support (≈ 1/3 of time)
Provide support for existing products in manufacturing.
Address warranty issues, quality problems, and operational escalations promptly.
Maintain product reliability and customer satisfaction.
NPI Planning Cycle Management
•Support the annual NPI planning cycle in partnership with Programme Management, ensuring timely, effective, and commercially aligned product launches.
Portfolio Reporting
•Oversee P&L management and deliver quarterly business reviews, focusing on NPI revenue, vitality index, and gross contribution.
Team Leadership & Development
•Lead Product Managers and Specialists, providing mentorship that builds confidence, enhances capability, and empowers them to become recognised authorities for their brands.
•Mentor Product Managers to actively engage customers, uncover insights, and deepen sector knowledge to shape solutions that meet application needs.
•Simplify operating models to improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and clarify role responsibilities to ensure customer closeness is sustained.
Portfolio Governance
•Accelerate commercial readiness by streamlining Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and NPI business cases and commercial strategies, in collaboration with the Customer & Market Insights teams.
•Manage portfolio lifecycle and obsolescence in line with governance and regulatory requirements.
•Support NPI stage-gate investment decisions and uphold commercial readiness governance.

•Customer insights embedded in every decision, with Product Managers actively engaging customers and translating application needs into innovative solutions.
•Product group lifecycle managed proactively, including timely obsolescence planning and compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.
•Financial performance accountability demonstrated by vitality index gains, and consistent delivery against growth targets.
•Integration of digital innovation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, and connected technologies, into the product portfolio to enhance customer value.
