Job Mission
As ERP Dynamics 365 F&O and Power BI Project Manager, you will provide end-to-end project leadership for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Power BI initiatives across Piab's global operations. You will drive successful delivery of ERP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and analytics solutions — bridging business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external partners to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, on time, and on budget.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end project leadership for Dynamics 365 F&O and Power BI initiatives, including new implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and major enhancements.
  • Lead the full project lifecycle — from initiation and requirements gathering through to go-live, stabilization, and support — defining scope, roadmap, timelines, success criteria, and resource plans.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans including milestones, dependencies, risk/issue logs, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across business and IT.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, internal technical teams, and external partners/Microsoft.
  • Facilitate workshops to capture business requirements, prioritize features, and agree on acceptance criteria.
  • Manage project budgets and financials, including forecasting, tracking actuals, and reporting variances.
  • Oversee functional and technical design for key D365 F&O areas (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Inventory) in collaboration with functional consultants and solution architects.
  • Coordinate configuration, customizations, and integrations, ensuring solutions follow best practices and are scalable and maintainable.
  • Plan and oversee data migration activities including data mapping, cleansing, and trial loads, in cooperation with data owners and technical teams.
  • Lead testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing), ensuring defects are logged, prioritized, and resolved.
  • Drive cutover planning and go-live execution, coordinating all activities, communications, and support to minimize business disruption.
  • Report project status, budget tracking, and progress updates to sponsors and direct reporting manager.
  • Ensure reporting and analytics needs are embedded in project scope, covering operational and management reporting as well as KPIs.
  • Coordinate design and delivery of Power BI data models, reports, and dashboards, working with data engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Promote consistent KPI and metrics definitions, establishing governance for master data and reporting standards.
  • Support self-service analytics adoption, enabling business users to leverage Power BI while maintaining control and security.
  • Drive change management, user adoption, and transition to support for all delivered solutions.

Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Business, Engineering).
  • 6–10 years of experience leading Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX) ERP implementations and Power BI initiatives.
  • Proven track record of managing ERP projects, including major implementations or enhancements of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Power BI projects (data models, dashboards, KPIs) and integrating them with D365 F&O or other data sources.
  • Experience working in international environments with implementations spanning Europe, the US, and Asia (global rollouts).
  • Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including change, release, deploy, testing, training, and IT service management.
  • Experience from a B2B organization is an advantage.
 
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination.
  • Solid knowledge of finance and/or supply chain processes; able to challenge and refine requirements with the business.
  • Experience leading requirements gathering and solution design workshops.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, HP ALM, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365 / Power BI) and/or PMP / PRINCE2 certification.
  • Ability to translate business needs into tangible, practical solutions.
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
  • Willingness to travel.
