Workforce Manager - Oncology Documentation Manager
Position Summary
The Workforce Manager is responsible for overseeing consultants assigned to a client within their book of business. In this role, the Manager is accountable for the Client’s satisfaction, the attraction and retention of consultants, and the technical expertise supporting quality and timely work product. The Manager will be a leader of their consultants, a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and an ambassador of our Core Values. Managers are responsible for onboarding, nurturing, technically supporting, and retaining all members of the workforce within their vertical. The Manager will ensure all Client and consultant issues are addressed in a timely and constructive manner.

Metrics & Goals
Job Tasks:
- Day-to-day direct management, scheduling, and oversight of all consultants for each Client assigned.
- Delivers client expectations to consultants at the beginning of their assignment
- Provides a focused, warm, and organized onboarding experience for new employees as they transition from recruiting to operations
- Manages consultant production and time entry
- Provides employees with timely communication in response to Client-related issues as well as any internal-related questions to ensure a successful experience
- Monitors, assesses, and assigns workloads for all consultants
- Identifies consultant educational opportunities and makes recommendations for improvement
- Monitors and enforces compliance and quality program
- Communicates escalations as needed to the Senior Manager, Workforce
- Maintains relationships with recruiters and account managers, affecting their consultants and clients
- Attends discovery calls with account managers to assist in the collection of
data elements required to ensure successful onboarding experience
- Leads client meetings at agreed-upon cadence
- Makes business decisions that impact their book of business within RCS
- Monitors workflow, productivity, and quality for all Clients
- Monitors and recommend staffing levels based on volumes and project goals
- Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) (internal & external)
- Monitors and enforces compliance and quality program
Competencies
Oncology Data Specialist certification
Leadership experience
Experience working closely with acute hospital systems
Department Competencies:
- Provides project status reports to RCS Leadership as requested.
- Maintains all CEUs and certifications
- Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in serving the Client
Minimum Education/Certifications:
- A minimum of one certification from the professional National association(s) applicable to primary role specialty
- NCRA based ODS Certification
- 5 years of management experience as applicable to the primary role specialty
- 3 years of remote management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate continuous guidance and feedback to consultants, RCS leadership, and clients
- Excellent organizational and computer technical skills
- Experience with various hospital systems applicable to the primary role specialty
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to access and use professional references
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to lead, manage, and retain a minimum of 70 direct reports
- Ability to manage a minimum of 5 Client accounts and projects associated with each
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict and offer actionable resolution
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Associate Degree
- 5 + years of management experience as applicable to the primary role specialty, preferably managing a remote staff
- Basic understanding of healthcare billing/accounting systems
- Basic understanding of healthcare revenue cycle
Work Environment and Culture
- Work performed primarily in an office environment, consisting of light to moderate physical activity, including the use of a computer, telephone, and/or other office equipment.
- Work remotely or on-site when required within the expected work hours and schedule, including meetings needed and on-time attendance.

Pay Rate
$83,500 - $99,000 SalaryFinal pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
