Job Description

Our Health, Safety & Environment group is currently looking to add a Health &Safety Administrator to our growing team, based in Edmonton, AB.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Safety Programs, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized administrative professional with a background in health and safety to provide support, administration, and document control across Valard's HS&E department. This role supports safety analytics, contractor compliance, electronic system management, and safety records management across Valard Construction and sister companies as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Valard's electronic health and safety reporting tool (BIS / SafeTapp), including training, troubleshooting, reporting, form creation, and system enhancements
  • Conduct quality reviews of submitted incident reports and maintain safety statistics and incident tracking, identifying and reporting trends as they arise
  • Maintain company and client compliance databases, making updates as needed across platforms including ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta, Cognibox, and CQN
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports as required; presentation of findings may be required
  • Prepare safety documentation for audits and provide audit support as required
  • Create and update process and policy documentation, and maintain inspection records
  • Maintain open communication with field and project team members to ensure safety record management requirements are met
  • Maintain Valard's safety positive incentive program
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior administrators or modified workers
  • Assist with general office duties as needed, including coordinating supply shipments to work sites
  • Occasional travel may be required
