- Work with and supervise inmates.
- Maintain/repair broken water lines and sprinkler system
- Operate district equipment, i.e. tractor, forklift, mowers, gas-powered handheld tools.
- Assist in facility set-up for sports events, assemblies and deliver, store, set-up classroom and office furniture.
- Assist in groundskeeping, as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Heavy lifting (80-100 lbs.), including maneuvering, transporting, placing loads.
- Physically demanding tasks under variable conditions, i.e., summer or inclement weather, on rooftops, scaffolds, ladders, under buildings.
- Stooping, bending, turning, reaching, etc. as necessary in performing duties and repairs, handling supplies and equipment.
- Operation of heavy equipment (backhoe, forklift, mowers, trucks, etc.); commercial vehicles.
- Standing/ working for extended periods of time.
- Proper handling of hazardous waste materials; prompt response to emergency situations.

FUNCTION
The General Maintenance employee performs routine facility maintenance, grounds keeping, custodial, and courier duties as assigned.

Twelve-month Working Agreement. Salary as determined by the Board of Education. Evaluation in accordance with Board policy.
