The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Brimstone is a house with 10 wonderful women, who enjoy outings, cooking, crafting, dancing and singing. We range from 34 years to 90 years old. A pretty active bunch with so many abilities making them stand out from one another. Staff work together to build supports catered to each resident at Brimstone by getting to know each individual.
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 30 hours weekly - Sunday, Monday & Tuesday 2p-10p, Wednesday 4p-10p
Starting Salary: $19.44 - $21.39 per hour with additional shift differentials as applicable
