Essential Job Functions:
Candidate Screening and Pre-Approval: Conduct initial conversations with potential drivers to gather relevant qualification information, including driving record, experience, criminal background, and familiarity with company and DOT policies. Make pre-approval decisions in real-time based on this assessment.
Decision Authority: Utilize the authority to make independent, well-informed decisions regarding the pre-approval, pass, or rejection of driver applications received via various channels, including written, faxed, telephone, or online submissions.
Systems Proficiency: Operate all required computer programs, including AS400, Windows, Recruiting Legacy, Salesforce, Call Center phone and fax systems, to process applications and maintain compliance with Federal DOT regulations and company hiring standards.
Communication: Accurately and efficiently communicate application statuses to driving schools. .
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel to support recruitment and compliance objectives.

Recruitment Expertise: Proficient in recruitment techniques, with an understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to assess candidate qualifications effectively.
Independent Decision-Making Skills: Strong judgment and decision-making abilities to make sound pre-approval determinations.
Multitasking and Organization: Capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, while maintaining focus and efficiency.
Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Skilled in probing, questioning, and active listening, with strong verbal, written, and documentation abilities to engage candidates effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in operating a PC and utilizing office technology, including multi-line telephones, fax machines, and copy machines.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address complex candidate inquiries and resolve application challenges independently.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Two to three years of experience in recruiting or sales. A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
One to two years of experience with PC-based systems (Windows).
Experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
