Job Description

Summit Home Health Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for weekend shifts to provide person-centered care with compassion and respect to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will provide safe, engaging, and meaningful opportunities to individuals in their homes and communities. 

Various schedules and shifts are currently available, including days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.

 

 Responsibilities

  • Provide Total Care- assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, etc.

  • Support individuals to obtain skills for daily living

  • Encourage independence through personalized plans of care

  • Support individuals with recreational activities in the community

  • Nurture social and communication skills

  • Strengthen independence

 Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Have a current, non-provisional driver’s license in good standing

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED

  • Have a desire to work with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to achieve or maintain increased independence, productivity, and inclusion in their homes and in the community.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)

  • Previous DSP experience is required. 

Pay: $20-$25 an hour
