Description:  Water Safety Aide 

Job Summary

• Assisting the Water Safety Instructor in learn-to-swim and water safety courses for preschool, youth and adults.
• Monitor and ensure participant safety at all times.
• Assist in creating conditions which ensure an enjoyable experience for participants.
• Assist in implementing lesson plans with small groups or individual students.
• Assist with set up and clean up for classes.
• Communicate effectively with Aquatics Coordinator regarding program needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Knowledge of swimming and water safety skills.
• Demonstrate responsible and dependable work habits.
• Positive attitude required.
• Communicate effectively with Water Safety Instructors

Bargaining Group and Level: NA

Pay Rate:  $12-$15 per hour (depending on experience)

Other Benefits: Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)

RETIREMENT/PENSION

Positions covered by Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA)

Work Schedule:  Saturday mornings and/or some weekdays after school, summer hours as well.
