Responsibilities for Forklift mechanic

• Maintains and repairs forklifts and aerial lifts to include batteries, battery chargers and battery watering system


• Must be able to use a computer or tablet for several different tasks including creating repair work orders


• Troubleshoot and repair ac/dc electronics and control circuits


• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues


• Component rebuilt and hydraulic repair


• Perform routine maintenance such as checking batteries, lubricating equipment, tire changes, brakes


• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED


• 2+ years experience with repair/maintenance of industrial electric fork trucks


• Aerial life repair/maintenance experience a plus


• Electric and manual pallet jack repair/maintenance experience


• Knowledge of Yale, Hyster, Crown equipment preferred


• Forklift Certification


• Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks
