As our Quality Engineer you will:
- Monitor the quality of our production processes and products. ST Engineering iDirect (formerly known as Newtec) produces modulators and demodulators that are used for satellite communication. Given our extensive experience in high-end electronics production we also manufacture product for third party clients in the space industry.
- Ensure that every product or service we create adheres to the prescribed norms and standards. Some of the quality systems we have in place are: ISO9001 (organizational quality management), EN9100 (ISO standard extension for aero & space industry), IPC (Printed Circuit Board assembly standards), ECSS (European Cooperation for Space Standardisation/ESA Norms)
- Create and deliver related trainings towards a wide range of colleagues.
- Perform regular audits and analyse root causes of quality loss
- Launch initiatives to continuously improve our processes
- Communicate incessantly with our operators in the plant, management, our clients to champion quality and customer satisfaction.
As a prerequisite to become our quality Engineer you:
- Hold a master or bachelor degree (preferably Engineering related)
- Have at least a first experience in or a demonstrable interest in 2 of the following fields/technologies: Manufacturing of electronic products, PCB, Creating manufacturing instructions, Rolling out quality systems, Quality standards (ISO, IPC, ECSS,…), Project management
- Are an effective communicator and coordinator
- Are fluent in English and Dutch
- Have an eye for detail.
- Are interested in the world of telecommunications, Space and Satcom
Once on board you will:
