Fidelity’s SkillBridge Program is a 12-week fellowship for active-duty service members, designed to bridge the gap between military service and corporate readiness by providing business exposure, on-the-job-training, mentorship, and professional development.

The Role

The Cloud and DevOps Center of Excellence within Enterprise Technology Risk & Analytics (ETRA) group is seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced professional to join the team! In this position, you will focus on building the automation tools and capabilities to evaluate key risks controls, and other critical technology risk management functions. Delivering a cloud-capable and production-ready suite of tools to proactively assess risks and identify gaps will be central to the role.

  • Accelerating the assessment of the various information technology risks that the business faces in its operations to promote consistent and timely remediation of technological risks
  • Streamline documenting potential gaps and/or inconsistencies and making sound recommendations, resulting in time savings from having to conduct manual assessments
  • Conducting consistent, repeatable and dependable risk assessments over large information technology development projects ensuring strong risk management and alignment

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years of cloud-based development and building large scale solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud services
  • App Development using Java related technologies - Java, Spring and REST API Development
  • Experienced in ALM tools like JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, UI design and DB technologies will be an advantage – AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes certification is a plus
  • Fully hands-on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like JenkinsCore, artifactory, GitHub.
  • Hands on experience in container-based development (ex: Docker)
  • Strategic thinking and critical problem-solving skills, technical design, development, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in implementing micro-services architecture and building / deploying highly automated, scalable and maintainable infrastructure.
  • Your curiosity and desire to support innovative business units in understanding and managing the risk of emerging technologies.
  • Your ability to research quickly and get up to speed on new initiatives and technologies, apply existing processes and controls to new situations and mitigate new types of technology risk.
  • Your willingness to assess technological risks in areas of the firm that are on the cutting edge, supporting the newest product developments and outside of the box activities with a dynamic can do attitude.
  • Your love of solving complex problems, and comfort with ambiguous situations, and your ability to innovate ways to mitigate risk using your analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Your knowledge of information technology processes and controls and a good understanding of risk and quality control and assurance functions
  • Your familiarity with emerging technology, cloud-based platforms, microservices and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Your strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Your ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight time commitments
  • Your ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with Information Technology and Business personnel to design and assist in the execution of appropriate controls design and monitoring
