Job Description

As a Staff TPM in manufacturing engineering, you will facilitate the launch of our next generation products and plants, transforming innovative ideas into tangible realities. From schedule and planning, to prototyping and scaling, you will be the glue that binds a multi-disciplinary team of manufacturing engineers. Whether reporting on wins or risks, we need your integrity and quick thinking to accelerate from milestone to milestone. This position is located at our manufacturing facility in Normal, IL, and will report to the Director, General Assembly Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Support the definition, planning, and execution of new product introductions and plant bring-ups from a manufacturing engineering standpoint.
  • Offer manufacturing perspective and insights to both upstream and downstream collaborators, facilitating timely and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain program level documentation, including macro and micro schedules, resource plans, risk registers and status reports
  • Act as the program point of contact, orchestrating efforts between vehicle programs, product engineering, software, operations, supply chain and other stakeholders
  • Actively engage in value engineering, with both internal and external teams, challenge assumptions and break the status quo
  • Hold both internal and external accountable for deliverables to meet program milestones
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in an engineering role related to manufacturing engineering, DFMA, product development, manufacturing process or equipment development
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and industrial engineering principles (OEE, cycle time analysis, DVA, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, ergonomics, DOE, quality control, equipment selection, ROI, error proofing, supply chain & logistics)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to concisely summarize and escalate complex topics
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using first principles, challenge assumptions and biased towards action
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with strong cross-functional influence.
  • Familiarity working within 2D & 3D CAD environments, simulation tools and other digital tools in the field of engineering
  • Appreciation for the art of managing evolving project requirements in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
  • Experience using a standard product development process. Experience with Smartsheets and or Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Experience managing system integrators, vendors, and 3rd party resources.
  • Highly collaborative mindset with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to zoom out to understand and appreciate upstream and downstream contributors/customers specific motivations and requirements.

The salary range for this role is $140,600-$175,800 for Illinois based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
 
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
