$4,001.64 to $4,401.80 biweekly.  Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.  Government Center/Viera.  Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, drafting reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned projects. 

 

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Engineering related to the area of assignment (e.g. Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) PLUS five (5) years of professional experience in engineering which is related to the area of assignment including two (2) years of post-registration experience OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering related to the area of assignment PLUS four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer in a section related to the area of assignment, which includes one (1) year of post registration experience.  Two (2) years of experience in civil site engineering design and performing stormwater calculations in the State of Florida preferred.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment.  Must possess an active license as a Professional Engineer (PE), registered in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statute 471, and maintain said license in an active status during the term of employment.  In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
