The Writers' Studio seeks students with strong writing and reading skills and excellent interpersonal skills to serve as a peer tutor supporting other student writers who need assistance with reading, writing, and/or English Language acquisition. Intensive, paid on-the-job training and ongoing professional development in providing individualized reading, writing, and language acquisition instruction are provided, within a supportive community that focuses on helping tutors continually develop and improve their practices. Candidates must submit a recent sample of academic writing, provide faculty references, and interview with the Director of Peer Tutoring. In addition to the skills above, successful candidates must also demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and the ability to self-motivate.
