Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.



 

Qualifications required:


  • Appropriate licensure for special education

  • Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation

  • Preference of having knowledge and experience in working with children with IEPs.



 

Responsibilities:



  • Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs

  • Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities

  • Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate

  • Employs a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate

  • Conducts and carries out educational assessments

  • Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures


Start Date: August 24th, 2026 (possibly start during new teacher week August 17th)
New Teacher Orientation: August 24-27, 2026
Rate of Pay: Pay will be prorated base on the number of student contact days. The Teacher contract salary rage for the 2026-2027 school year is $48,733 - $100,583 per year. 


Benefit Eligiblity: Determined according to calculated FTE per the teacher contract.
